Lister Petter Engines And Generators Are Trusted
Lister Petter is a British company, known around the world for manufacturing various reliable, premium diesel engines and quality generators. Lister generators can be used for residential, commercial and industrial applications. Products produced by Lister Petter are very popular because they are extremely rugged and have a long life expectancy.
Depending on the size of a Lister generator, and the maintenance it receives, it is not unreasonable to expect that a unit will run for at least 20 - 30,000 hours before it will need its first major overhaul.
For the longest time, Lister Petter built durable diesel engines, but has now added propane and natural gas fueled models to its production line. Since 1984, the company has also been producing generating sets, which was a tremendous success. By 1999, they were listed as the third largest assembler of stationary industrial generator sets in the world, in the 5kW to 20kW range. And if that is not enough; the British corporation is also becoming a key manufacturer of heavy duty industrial engine generator sets. These are equipped with features, such as:

Anyone know what’s the difference between an industrial generator and a simple a.c generator?
Need a little help on what is the difference between simple and industrial a.c generators
Thank You =)
what is a good industrial grade generator that runs quietly and relatively inexpensive?
i need it for my small business. i need to run a power washer and a big shop vacuum cleaner from it for about 5 hours a day everyday.
Conceptually there is very little difference.
While there can be several definitions as to what determines the key word ‘industrial’, it typically refers to several of the following characteristics:
- designed for higher ambient temperatures
- shielded from outside interference, shielded from emitting interference
- includes connectors and housings for industrial type connections
- wound for typical industrial voltages (24/120/240/480) and phases
- designed to withstand normal industrial environments (dust, vibrations, temp variations, etc…)
Can you make a residential/personal use solar generator from a 24-volt industrial solargizer?
I have a small supply of 24-volt industrial solargizers and am wondering if I can make a residential/Personal use solar generator from them?
Then you have a small supply of a device that supplies a very small amount of electricity. Each one has only a rather small 4 x 5 ” solar panel I suppose if your “small” supply was about 100 of them and you had the equivilent of a 40″ by 50″ pannel you might reach somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 watts on a clear bright day. That would be enough energy to run a laptop or maybe a small blender. http://www.batterystuff.com/battery-restoration/24-volt/IS24L.html
how do i figure how much load is being used on an industrial emergency generator?
You have to measure the output. An ammeter will tell you the current at the time you measure. Multiply by the voltage, and multiply by the square root of 3 if it is three phase. If the load varies, you need a recording meter.
More detail would help.
You’re looking for terms that are mutually exclusive. Industrial grade and quiet do not come in an inexpensive package. Honda makes good quality machines that are perhaps the least noisy available, but it comes at a premium price. Several manufacturers assemble systems around Briggs&Stratton engines at a lower cost. Generac builds an OHVI engine specifically for generator uses.
Stay away from low end cheap Chinese built systems. There is a reason for the low prices.
Read through my generator page for other ideas.

Can we reduce carbon emission in industrial plant by replacing power source from diesel generator with state ?
In our industrial plant as we are going to replace power source from diesel generator with state grid power(33KV). Can we get less carbon emission due to this?
