Without knowing the size of your air conditioning I would probably go with the Honda 3.0. I say this because if you don’t have enough power and continue using your air two things can occur, the first is that you can over tax your generator and its life span is shortened. The second is that you could also put too much stress on the compressor and have the air conditioning burn out as well.
Power Inverter/ portable power generator?
Was wanting to pick up something that my hubby can use out on the job site to run a small microwave from the truck. The microwave is 120v 60Mhz What do I need to get for him to be able to do that? And would it just get plugged into the lighter plug or should I get a battery for it to hook to? I would love for my hubby to be able to have a hot meal at lunch when it’s cold out.
how do I find watts ? It’s not listed on it anywhere.
Is there a portable generator that could use it’s inverter for transforming a DC input into AC?
I would like to get a generator and am also considering investing in some wind-power (urban windmill). I know that the windmill would require an inverter and that most portable generators have inverters in them. Is there any generator that would accept DC input and transform it into AC?
What type of portable generator should I buy for my boat?
I have a 280 Sea Ray Sundancer. I am looking to purchase a portable generator/inverter. I have been looking at Honda and Yamaha. Will the 2000 be able to power my AC, do I need the 3000 for that?
Walmart Hyundai HY2000si – 2000W Portable Inverter Generator?
Just wondering if anyone knows how this generators runs and how quiet they are? and will they run a microwave, tv, stereo, etc… What about a/c or is a/c to much for it.
It will run a microwave or stereo just fine…. may run an AC, but there won’t be enough watts to start one, so no on the AC.

a 750 watt inverter should have plenty of power. instead of a lighter plug they use alligator clips that connect to the truck’s battery.
